There are THREE ways to charge your KaliPAK.


The best solar energy arrives from—you guessed it!—the sun. In order to optimize charging performance, always keep the solar panel pointed directly at the sun.

Approximate Charging Times
4X Solar Panel (up to 40W) 12.0 to 13.0 hrs

For optimal sun charging, you must angle the panels at the appropriate latitude. If your latitude is between 25° and 50°, then the best tilt angle for summer is the latitude, times 0.93, minus 21º. The best tilt angle for winter is the latitude, times 0.875, plus 19.2º.


Our AC/DC power adapter enables you to charge your KaliPAK from any universal 100-240V power outlet.

I became aware of the KaliPAK via their Kickstarter project and immediately knew I wanted one. As an Emergency Manager, being prepared is a mantra I live by. This unit seemed to fit my needs perfectly. The ability to power items that have become critical to me such as my cell phones, tablet, flashlight, and even my CPAP. As an urban dweller I know that eventually the power would be restored and I will be back on the grid, so my KaliPAK is kept in tne closet and charged for use should electric service be interrupted. The good news is that the unit worked extremely well when needed and was intuitively easy to use. I brought the unit at the beginning of the summer to my sister's beach house while I was travelling back and forth to NYC. Strong summer thunderstorms came through her area and electric power service went out. Remembering she had the unit in the house, she quickly got it and without formal familiarization was able to set up and use it to light up part of the house with a lantern and charge cell phones, a tablet and rechargeable flashlights. Exactly the reason why I purchased the KaliPAK. I can't relay any stories of how it worked while camping, and I haven't had a chance to use the solar panel yet, but I am extremely comfortable when vacationing knowing the KaliPAK is right outside in the car trunk if needed. P.S. there is room in the case to add some additional small items. I put several USB cords, a set of rechargeable batteries and small powerbanks in the case to ensure they were available if necessary.

I purchased this solar generator a few weeks ago to take on a camping trip. It worked exactly as advertised. It was able to keep all my electronics fully charged at all times. The solar panels were very easy to use in order to recharge the battery. I also purchased the LED external light as well. I will store this in my house so when the power goes out (which is often), I will have a quick way to keep all my phones charged and a handy light to keep a room well lit. This is an easy, inexpensive way to have portable on the go power that is lightweight.

I purchased the Kalisaya KP401 through kickstarter, but it is the same one listed here.

- 384 watt hours of power. That is enough for ...
- Up to 12 charges for the Apple MacBook Air 13". OR 46 charges for the Samsung Galaxy 6.
- USB ports
- 12 V DC "cigarette" ports for charging 12 volt items
- solar panel included to charge this device
- KaliPAK can charge from the solar panel, 120 volt AC plug or from your car. Of course, you would want uour car to be running (don't drain the car battery).
- Portable, good for camping.
- Android or iOS app that gives you the remaining charge time and other useful information.

- Weight is 13 lbs. Not too bad, especially if you need it in an emergency, but I figured I should mention the weight.
